The Dragon and The Rose

Once upon a time a geeky Welsh guy and a bubbly English girl bumped into each other in a German grammar lecture. It wasn’t long before their love of reading and dislike of grammar unified them together and they became best friends. Soon a blend of sci-fi, historical, and chick flic literature, mutual hatred of anything involving zombies, leggings, and the strange world of Kafka - like seriously, a giant woodlouse German?!? - would infuse into a mutual mish-mash of geeky diverse interest of the literary world.

As historians they naturally debated about everything, coming up with phrases like, ‘What kind of attitude is that? Would Batman look out of his window and say “I could save Gotham today…but no I'm going to put my fat pants on and eat a whole bag of jam doughnuts”..’

Three years later, with history and German degrees between them, they hunted for work in the modern world. Unable to find their perfect jobs, they sought refuge in tales of fantasy and adventure (not 50 Shades we hasten to add, we have taste). Until one day, they thought: hold on a minute, we debate about everything. We discuss everything and usually end up with a sarcastic final conclusion. Let’s write this down and see what others think, because the world needs to know…
